Very much at the beginning of her creative journey as an artist and shaped by a career in the police, she is a painter at heart, drawn to the thrill of capturing fleeting moments in time, fascinated by human expression in her portraits and by the way the paint connects with the surface of a painting. Living in rural Ayrshire and close to Galloway Forest Park, nature surrounds her and provides a constant source of inspiration. Whether her subject is human, animal, still life or landscape, she hopes to convey the sensitivity of the environment and atmosphere, in her painterly work.
